4 x LPA x 4 (eg 2 people each registering for Health and Welfare LPA and Property and Financial Affairs LPA) | £1000 plus VAT |
Probate Fees
Standard Probate | £850 plus VAT |
Court of Protection | £950 plus VAT plus £371 court fee |
What Are Disbursements?
Disbursements are third-party costs or fees that your solicitor or conveyancer pays on your behalf as part of providing a legal service—most commonly during property transactions, probate, or other legal matters.
They are not part of your solicitor’s fees, but are added to your total bill because they are necessary for the completion of your matter.
Common disbursements with regard to Wills and LPAs:
Probate: Probate registry fee, swearing of oath, bankruptcy searches – £273 Court Fee
Wills and LPAs: Office of the Public Guardian registration fee - £82.00 is payable to Office of the Public Guardian per registration of LPA.
Litigation: Court fees, expert report costs, process server fees
