Planning for the future

Making a will or even updating an existing will is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your loved ones and ensure your wishes are followed in the event of your death. Having clear, well-considered plans in place gives you piece of mind that your assets and personal gifts are passed on to the right people no matter what the future holds.

A professionally drafted will can also help reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax (IHT) your estate may need to pay preserving more of your wealth for your beneficiaries.

Our team will guide you through the process, ensuring your will is legally valid, unambiguous, and tailored to your individual circumstances, leaving no room for confusion or disputes.

Without a will, your estate is distributed according to UK intestacy laws—which may not reflect your intentions.  Call our team today to arrange a meeting with one of our team to discuss your needs.

Types of Wills

There are several types of wills available, each designed to suit different personal and family circumstances:

Single Will
Ideal for individuals who are not in a relationship, a single will sets out your personal wishes regarding the distribution of your estate and the care of any dependants.

Mirror Wills
Commonly used by couples with similar wishes, mirror wills are two separate but nearly identical documents. Each person leaves their estate to the other, and then to agreed beneficiaries (such as children) in the event of both passing away.

Trust Wills
Suitable for individuals or couples with more complex financial or family situations. A trust will can provide greater control over how assets are used, protect inheritance for children from previous relationships, and help manage issues such as care fees or tax planning.
